The clarinettist Francois Houle has established himself as one of the most inventive musicians of the present in all the different musical spheres that he encloses. Inspired by his collaboration with the world's leading musical innovators, he has developed a unique improvisational language, virtuosic and rich in tonal decoration and technical improvements.

Studied at McGill University and Yale University. Artist-in-Residence at the Banff Centre for the Arts and at the Civitella Ranieri Foundation in Umbria, Italy. Soloist at the 2007 and 2008 Clarinet Festivals of the International Clarinet Association. Lecturer at Vancouver Community College School of Music. Lecturer in the clarinet studio at the University of British Columbia. Artistic Director of the Vancouver Creative Music Institute. "Associate Composer" of the Canadian Music Centre.
