geb. 1956. studierte jazz auf dem altosax, später auch bassklarinette. er leitete diverse modern jazz-formationen und improvisationsensembles und gab konzerte mit david moss, mani neumeier, peter warren, doug hammond, john king, pt. arjun shejwal und anderen. seit 1983 unterricht in der musikwerkstatt basel
aktuelle formationen:
trio fatale vision, eine multimedia-formation (mit ingeborg poffet und heinz schäublin)jaish, ein schweizerisch-indischrn kulturaustausch (ingeborg poffet, prakash shejwal, milind shoerey u.a.) kaba-quartett (mit ingeborg poffet, johannes frisch, michael ströder)duo fatale meets percussion (mit barni palm),
sowie regelmässige internationale begegnungen mit musikerInnen und spezielle projekte (rete-réseaux-vernetzungen '94, frontià¨res '97, behinderten-orchester '98).
leitete bis 2015 zusammen mit roberto dos santos das "house orchestra" (ein jugendlichen-orchester der musikwerkstatt basel).
